IPhone 12 mini battery worse than iPhone SE when playing games

The iPhone 12 mini is the smallest of the four iPhone 12s that Apple has announced. As such, its battery capacity is also the smallest, at only 2227mAh.

PhoneArena team conducted a test to find out how small the iPhone 12 mini's battery is when paired with the A14 Bionic chip. The better the battery life, the longer it will last.

The first is a test of watching videos on YouTube using the Internet and found that the iPhone 12 mini can last for 5 hours and 10 minutes by watching The video does not rest. In the same test, the new iPhone SE lasted 4 hours and 45 minutes, while the iPhone 12 lasted 6 hours and 38 minutes.

Enter the test by opening the website next to the iPhone 12 mini can last 10 hours 56 minutes compared to the iPhone SE 9 hours 5 minutes and iPhone 12 hours 33 minutes. Finally, the 3D game test, which lasted only 2 hours and 22 minutes, the iPhone 12 mini also shut down. It could be a surprising result compared to the iPhone SE, which can last for 4 hours and 59 minutes. However, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro also got amazing results when testing 3D games, both iPhone can withstand Only 3 hours and 1 minute. During testing, both iPhones overheated, causing the battery to drain rapidly.

Passing this test can confirm that the small battery life of the iPhone 12 mini can last quite a long time. Except for 3D games, which still have problems with heat reduction.

Top 5 Cool Features in iOS 13

When Apple announces its newest operating systems each year at WWDC, the sheer amount of information the company throws at you can be overwhelming. In iOS 13 alone is a laundry list of new apps and features, performance and UI improvements, and revamped experiences across Apple's flagship mobile OS.
Here are the most interesting new features and additions coming in iOS 13 this fall:

1. Dark Mode

It's about time. Instead of manually enabling Dark Mode one by one in whichever apps support it, iOS 13 adds OS-level Dark Mode that you can flip on to plunge your entire smartphone experience into darkness. Your eyes will thank you later. (Photo by Justin Sullivan/Getty Images)

2. Sign In with Apple

The biggest theme of iOS 13 is privacy. Apple fired another salvo in its ongoing feud with Facebook by rolling out Sign In with Apple, a simple API developers can integrate into their apps to replace "social sign-ins" and give users one-tap, Face ID-authenticated sign-in to any app without any third-party tracking or revealing any additional personal information.

3. Share Audio

With the new intuitive audio sharing in iOS 13, you can share a snippet of audio, whether it's a movie, a song, or a snippet from your life, with another iOS users with just a tap. The catch: it only works if you have AirPods.

4. Lookaround Mode in Apple Maps

Sure, it may be a carbon copy of Google Street View, except 3D and in Apple Maps. But that doesn't mean it won't be fun to tap around and explore new places in HD.

5. Siri Suggested Automations

Siri will enjoy a host of improvements in iOS 13 across different platforms such as HomePod and CarPlay, but the most powerful capability comes in the Siri Shortcuts app. A new suggested automation feature will help those who've never used Siri Shortcuts before to take their habits and personalize them, adding AI-assisted templates for things like heading home to going to the gym.

Google cancel Huawei’s Android service after Donald Trump blacklist

Huawei Technologies Co, the Chinese telecom equipment giant, received a yet another blow, as Google has decided to suspend transactions with Huawei following U.S. President Donald Trump’s blacklist order.

Google has confirmed in a statement said it was “complying with the order and reviewing the implications”. It also confirmed that “Google Play and the security protections from Google Play Protect will continue to function on existing Huawei devices.”

While the order did not specifically identify any country or company, the move was widely seen as blocking Huawei from being used in U.S. networks due to its connections with the Chinese government that could result in spying in places where the company has the hardware.

Huawei has denied its products pose a security threat and say it is independent of the Chinese government. The telecom giant had said restricting Huawei from doing business in the U.S. “will not make the US more secure or stronger; instead, this will only serve to limit the US to inferior yet more expensive alternatives leaving the US lagging behind in 5G deployment, and eventually harming the interests of US companies and consumers.”

Huawei also said it was “ready and willing to engage with the US government and come up with effective measures to ensure product security.”

Facebook, Instagram Apps Suffer Hours-Long Worldwide At The Moment

Facebook, Instagram Apps Shut Down

Apps for Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp were down for some users around the world for several hours Wednesday, with unidentified technical problems causing widespread disruptions.

Facebook said in a follow-up Twitter post at 3:03 p.m. ET, “We’re focused on working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, but can confirm that the issue is not related to a DDoS attack.” That’s a reference to a distributed denial-of-service brute-force attack, in which networks are overloaded with bogus traffic designed to disrupt service.

Asked for additional info, a Facebook rep in an email sent just before 7 p.m. ET referred to the two tweets and declined further comment. The company is mulling the possibility of issuing refunds to advertisers because of the downtime, Bloomberg reported.

[UPDATE, 3/14, 12:45 p.m. ET: Facebook said it has resolved the issues. See: Facebook Apologizes for Outages, Says It Has Resolved ‘Server Configuration’ Error That Led to Access Problems]

Problems reported by users included the apps’ not loading content or allowing them to share posts, while some said they were unable to log in. Some were shown a message saying Facebook was down for maintenance.

According to website DownDetector.com, user reports of problems accessing Facebook’s apps began to spike around noon ET on Wednesday (March 13) and had not been fully resolved more than four hours later. The issues for Facebook, Instagram and Facebook Messenger appear to be mostly affecting users in the U.S., the U.K. and Brazil, while many WhatsApp error reports have come from Mexico and South America as well as Europe, according to the site.

Outages for large internet platforms like Facebook or YouTube aren’t unusual, but in the past they have typically restored service within an hour or two.

According to performance-monitoring firm Netscout, the issue appeared to be related to an accidental Border Gateway Protocol “routing leak” from a European internet service provider to a major transit ISP; the BGP error then cascaded across other service providers and downstream customers of the transit ISP. (Netscout did not identify the ISPs in question.) However, another monitoring vendor, ThousandEyes — which tracks performance and downtime based on client-side measurement — said it was not seeing any BGP changes affecting connectivity, packet loss or latency for Facebook; ThousandEyes said the problems appeared to be internal to Facebook’s systems rather than a network or internet-delivery issue.

As Facebook’s outages dragged on, Twitter lit up with complaints and comments — and, of course, memes and jokes. “Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are down. But I hear MySpace is rocking right now,” actor George Takei snarked.

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 10 has a feature called “quick removal” that lets you yank a drive at any moment, and it’s now the default setting for each new drive you plug in as of Windows 10 version 1809, according to Microsoft’s own support guidance

This feature became available back in October when version 1809 first started rolling out. It just so happens to be making the rounds now that the company’s notifying IT professionals that the update is being deployed more broadly.

There hasn't always been a clear cut line on the relevance of the safely remove. Even Microsoft has not been clear on these two schools of thought for a while and the operating system definitely still has the Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media feature.

So now, the process of safely ejecting a flash drive can be one of those things you tell your kids about, one of those “Do you remember this thing that olds used to do?”
